Monday, October 20: Begin Research Unit; and reading from Bedford ( pages 260-295); also reading in Henrietta Lacks up to page 118

Wednesday, October 22: Discuss readings; Work on blog; DUE: Make sure you have at least one post thus far before we move forward; continue with "Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks..."

Friday, October 24: Maintaining Blogs; talking about research; DUE: Essay 3 Workshop/ Lacks reading

Monday, October 27: Essay 3 workshop ( if needed); research unit; DUE: Essay 4 and reading from Bedford ( 295-322); tentative research proposals

Wednesday, October 29:  Essay 3 workshop; begin to talk about research. DUE: Typed, to be handed in, five potential research topics

Friday, October 31: Blog Post DUE:  research unit; DUE: Essay 3 and reading from Bedford ( 295-322); tentative research proposals


Monday, November 3: ESSAY 3 due today; Go over readings; Introduction to college research; DUE: read pages 366- 393
